DownloadRS COVID-19 Update: Stage One Eased Restrictions
The Queensland Government has developed a plan to ease coronavirus (COVID-19) business restrictions to ensure businesses can reopen in a way that increases business activity but does not compromise the health of customers, staff and the community.
These Stage 1 eased restrictions will come into effect at 11:59pm tomorrow (Friday, 15 May 2020).
A couple of things worth noting:
- To reopen you MUST have a workplace health and safety plan in place to demonstrate actions being taken to ensure safety of staff and customers (doesn’t need to be submitted to an authority for approval) Worksafe QLD Risk Management.
- High risk industries MUST complete a COVID-19 Safe checklist which is signed and displayed on premise (this site has checklist templates for beauty and nail salons, restaurants and cafes).
- Although some businesses in town have already advertised they’re reopening, for example pubs with essential bookings for fixed time slots (not exceeding 10 patrons), it is not feasible for many, and businesses need to keep in mind if they have the space to abide by the social distancing requirements.
